‘The Islanders’ are a trio of musicians who have come together to play an eclectic variety of
Irish, Scottish and Welsh music. They hale from a variety of backgrounds: Professional film
producer, sound engineer, and percussion player (Wayne); a variety of bands, orchestras and
instruments (Don); and classical player and public school music teacher (Bronwen). We all
turned to playing Celtic music a few years ago and have never looked back! From us you’ll
hear everything from gentle airs to toe tapping jigs and reels!
Wayne Finucan: bass, vocals, electronics.
Don McConnell: fiddle
Bronwen Young: Irish flute and whistles
